Takedown Policy

Kidsome respects the rights of creators and brand owners. If you believe something on our site infringes your copyright, trademark or another right, tell us and we will review it promptly. This policy explains what to send and what happens next.

Who can send a request

The owner of the rights involved, or someone authorized to act for them, such as an agent or a lawyer. Kidsome publishes only its own content, and visitors cannot upload files, so a request concerns us alone and no other party is involved. If you are not sure whether your rights are infringed, consider taking legal advice before you write.

How to send a request

Email hello@kidsome.net with the subject line "Takedown request" and include:

  1. The full URL of each page or file you want us to review.
  2. A description of the content concerned, for example "the third coloring page on this URL".
  3. The work or mark you own, with a registration number or a link where you have one.
  4. Your name, organization (if any), postal address, email address and phone number.
  5. Evidence that you own the rights or are authorized to act for the owner.
  6. This statement: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the material described above is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent or the law."
  7. This statement: "The information in this notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, I am the rights owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf."
  8. Your physical or electronic signature, such as your typed full name.

This list follows what the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act asks of a notice. We accept requests about any kind of right, from any country. A request that leaves items out takes longer, because we have to ask for the missing details first.

What happens next

  1. We confirm that we have received your request, usually within two business days.
  2. We review the content against the information you sent, and may ask you for more details.
  3. If the request is valid, we remove the content, disable access to it or change it so it no longer infringes, and tell you what we did.
  4. If we decide not to act, we tell you why.

Sending a request does not guarantee removal. We decide each request on its own facts.

False or abusive requests

Please make sure your request is accurate. A request that knowingly misrepresents that content infringes can make the sender liable for damages. We may disregard requests that are abusive or made in bad faith.
